Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Pan: Lightly coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. (1 minute)

02

Step

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the crispy rice cereal, quick-cooking oats, sliced almonds, walnut pieces, dried cranberries, raisins, and wheat germ. Stir well to distribute evenly. (3 minutes)

03

Step

Melt the Binding Agent: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the mini marshmallows, honey, and light corn syrup. Cook, stirring constantly, until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to burn the marshmallows. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bind and Press: Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the dry ingredients. Stir quickly and thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan using the back of a spatula or a piece of parchment paper. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Cool and Set: Allow the snack bars to cool completely until firm and set. This will take approximately 30 minutes at room temperature, or you can speed up the process by refrigerating them for about 15-20 minutes. (30 minutes)

06

Step

Cut and Serve: Once the bars are firm, cut them into 9 equal-sized bars. Wrap individually for easy snacking on the go. (5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, toast the oats and almonds in a dry pan for a few minutes before adding them to the mixture.
Feel free to customize the mix-ins with your favorite nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Chocolate chips, shredded coconut, or chopped apricots would also be delicious additions.
If you prefer a softer bar, reduce the amount of crispy rice cereal.
Store the snack bars in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
