Follow The Directions

01

Step

Pour 1 cup of water into the base of a 6-quart Instant Pot. Place a trivet inside the pot. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Prepare four wide-mouth pint-sized canning jars. Evenly distribute 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar into each jar, followed by 10 drops of your chosen food coloring. Gently nestle 2 eggs into each jar, then carefully fill each jar with water, ensuring the eggs are submerged. Arrange the filled jars on the trivet inside the Instant Pot. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Secure the Instant Pot lid, ensuring it's properly sealed. Select the 'high pressure' setting and set the timer for 5 minutes. Allow the Instant Pot 10-15 minutes to build pressure. (15 minutes)

04

Step

Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow a natural pressure release for approximately 1 minute. Carefully unlock and remove the lid. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Using tongs, carefully remove the canning jars from the Instant Pot. Drain the colored water from each jar. Transfer the beautifully dyed eggs to an ice bath and allow them to rest for 5 minutes to halt the cooking process and set the colors. (10 minutes)

For more vibrant colors, let the eggs sit in the colored water for a longer period before chilling.
Experiment with different color combinations and techniques, such as swirling colors, for unique and artistic results.
Ensure the eggs are fresh for best results and easier peeling.
Be cautious when releasing pressure and removing jars as they will be hot.
